Haryali Club

Haryali Club is a an initiative started by Jangpur youth to see to the issues facing village. The club as its name suggests does tree plantation drives in the monsoon season. However, it has extended its work scope beyond that and is now helping less privileged students with books and clothing, and provides monthly ration to needy families involving senior ladies living by themselves. The current number of these families stand at 6. During COVID-19, the members volunteered to spray disinfectant in the village and also did vigilance during government imposed lockdown.

The club was started on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji - founder of the Sikh faith on November 12, 2019.
